Busy Honolulu Hawaii is welcome center for most Island Vacations.  Nearby Diamond Head Trail offers convenient early morning hikes; afterwards, relax on the world-renowned Waikiki Beach. Spend your afternoon swimming, sunbathing, and absorbing views of the famous Diamond Head volcanic crater, inactive for over 150,000 years.  Honolulu Travel Guides highlight the full array of amenities, lifeguards, lodging, and even surfing along Waikiki Beach.  We think Hawaii-Web offers the most complete review of Honolulu area beaches, describing conditions for canoeing, surfing at all levels, snorkeling, swimming and just walking on the sand. Their straightforward presentation, complete with pictures, highlight which areas are guarded and more suitable for families.

The USS Arizona Monument is our favorite Honolulu Attraction, a budget-friendly way to spend the day at historic Pearl Harbor.  Family groups, history buffs, veterans, and patriotic Americans of all ages flock to this adventure. The National Park Service and US Navy combine efforts, offering free admission, a museum, boat rides to/from the memorial, and an extensive Visitor Center.

Visit The Polynesian Culture Center as the best family-friendly way to experience Hawaiian culture.  After spending the day visiting Center’s seven villages, relax, learn, listen and feast at the authentic on-site Ali’i Luau, complete with flower lei greeting, hula, music, entertainment, and all-you-can eat buffet.

Whether you are looking for whale watching, dolphin encounters, or snorkeling with turtles, Wild Side Eco Adventures are a cut above the rest! If close contact with marine life is not your thing, then read this story about Touring Ancient Hawaii to get you excited about your next trip.  Any trip to Hawaii would be incomplete without experiencing Honolulu Sufing & Beaches
